Where Yachting meets Amsterdam’s Shipbuilding Heritage

For more than a century, the waterfront around the NDSM area has played an important role in Dutch shipbuilding. What began with the Nederlandsche Scheepsbouw Maatschappij and Nederlandsche Dok Maatschappij developed into NDSM, once the largest shipyard in the Netherlands.

Generations of craftsmen, engineers and shipbuilders worked here. Cargo vessels, naval ships, oil tankers and some of the largest vessels of their time were built and launched from these shores. It was a place defined by craftsmanship, ambition and the constant pursuit of building something better.

And although Amsterdam has changed, the maritime character of this part of the city never disappeared.

Today, our office sits directly beside the grounds of Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam, where the tradition of working on ships continues. From our windows and along the quayside, the maritime industry is not something remembered from the past. It is still very much alive.

That combination reflects how we see yachting ourselves.

We respect the craftsmanship, knowledge and traditions on which this industry was built, while constantly looking ahead towards new yachts, new owners, new technology and new opportunities.
